Abstract:
The present work endeavours to study the effect of afla-toxins on chickens. Aflatoxin was isolated from Aspergillusparasiticus was estimated versus aflatoxin standard.Aflatoxin was added to the dose levels of 0.2 and 0.5p.p.m. at 7 and 15 days old and 0.01, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2 and 0.4p.p.m. at 60 days old in the ration of chickens up to 10 dayscompared with controls.Low levels of haemoelobin content were observed at thedose levels of 0.2, 0.5 p.p.m. at 7, 15 days old and at 0.1,0.2 and 0.4 p.p.m. at 60 days old. Also packed cell volumeshowed marked DROP at the dose level of 0.5 p.p.m. at 7, 15days old and at 0.1 and 0.4 p.p.m. at 60 days old.studying the effect of aflatoxin on some biochemicalparameters of serum revealed low values in total protein,’uric acid and urea.Total protein showed significant decrease values in thechickens exposed to the dose level of 0.2, 0.5 p.p.m. at 7,15 days old and at 0.4 p.p.m. at 60 days old.
