Abstract:
Mycoplasma gallisepticum broth culture was inoculated intrasinally, intratracheally, intravenouslyin hundred one day old chickens from Cairo Poultry Company, the experimental results for isolation, sero- logic examination and biochemical estimation undertaken in the course of the study was compared with those of control and incontact groups.Reisolation rate was lowiMintrasinally, intratra- cheally inoculated chicks and no isolation was obtained in intravenously inoculated and the group of chickens infected by contact. The macropathological lesions were of slight degree i.e. slightly congested lungs, slightly thickenedair sac and the liver with very mild perihepatitis in case of inoculated chickens while no obvious lesionscould be seen in chickens infected by contact.Serological examinatio~ was made. In slide agglutination the number of positives was high at the beginning of the experiment then decrease gradually and is higher in intrasinally inoculated chickens and lowerin chickens infected by contact.
