Abstract:
Oral anticoagulant rodenticide Racumin was studied.!the oral LD50 or raown1n in agoza strain rats was foundto be (6.8 mg/kg body weight).Teratogenio effects of’ racumin on preg~ano7 wasrevealed that at dose 1/5 LD50 caused 44.4% resorption otfoetuses in average weight 3.0 gm and average length 8.9om. In a dose 1/10 LDSO caused 20.58% resorption, ot foetuses~ average weight 3.19 gm and an average length 3.1 om. Ina dose ot 1/20 LD50 caused 19.58% resorption of foetuses inaverage weight 4.06 gm and an average length 3.5 cm, Inoontrol rats it was 12.9% resorption, ot foetuses in weightof 4.7 am and in length of’ 4.2 cm.Results ot skeletal and visceral examination of thefoetuses affeoted by the compound revealed no significantabnormalities compared with the control ones.Identification and distribution of Racumin in differentorgans was done in three groups, first group reoeived 1/5LD50, second group raoieved 1/10 LD50 and third groupreceieved 1/20 LD50• Colour tests was pertormed by usingdifferent reagents including Aarquis (red), Alizarin red,L1berman and nitric acid concentration (orange), ~rohdetsand phosphomolybdio acid (taint blue), Jlandelins
