Abstract:
This work was conducted on 300 clinically normalanimals (174 horses, 60 mules and 66 donkeys)distributed in a Police rinding horse centre, Bacultyof Veterinary Medicine hospital~ Zagazig, drafthorses and mules (Zagazig City and City council)and private horses and donkeys farms.Samples of hair and skin scrapings werecarefully collected from different body sitesby both hair epiliation and brush technique methods. The samples were examined microscopicallyand were cultureu for further identification of theorganisms constituting the mycoflora. The results canbe summarized as follows:It is evident that more than one isolate couldbe recovered from one- animal, so that thepercentage of the isolates to animals was 163.6%and the highest isolates were obtained from horses(17B.8%), followed by donkeys (145%) and thenby mules (140%).
