Abstract:
The present work was done to observe the growth rate and describe the changes in certain blood andserum component in both healthy calves, feeding on milk or milk replacer from birth till weaning, and diseased calves suffering from parasitic and non par-asitic enteritis, alopecia and ring worm which fed on milk replacer.Part I: Concerning calves fed on whole milk: The haem- oglobin concentration and packed cell volume decreasedaftEr birth to 1 weeks old then gradually increased to10 weeks of age in calves fed on whole milk. Serum calcium was maximium in the first week then remaining relatively constant thereafter.Serum inorganic phosphorus showed highly aig-nigicant increase at fourth and seventh week than first and tenth week old.Serum magnesium decreased by growing of age with minimium values at 10 week old.Serum iron showed a significant decrease at
