Experimental Bathological Studies Of Male Sex Hormones In Albino Rats

Eighty four mature males Sprague dawely albino rats used in thisexperiment, and were divided into four groups to study the pathologicalchanges which induced due to chronic administration of male sexhormones alone or combined with estrogen with different doses, durationand routs.The first group (gp) I: Consisted of20 rats which were divided intoequal subgroups (subgp. A and B) and orally received 1.5mg and 3 mg/ratof androgen respectively.The second group (gp) 11 : Consisted of 20 rats which were divided ;into 2 equal (subgp A and B) and injected intramuscularly with 5.1 mg and 10.2 mg Irat of testosteron repectively.The third group (gp) Ill: Consisted of20 rats which were dividedinto 2 equal subgroups (subgp. A and B) and injected intramuscularly withcombination of (1.3 mg testosteron + 0.08 mg oestradiol) and (2.6 mgtestosteron + 0.16 mg oestradiol) I rat respectively.Fourth group (gp) IV: Consisted of 24 rats which were divided into3 subgroups (subgp. A,B and C) as untreated controls.Group I : Which received androgen orally alone every day and therats were sacrificed after 2 and 3 months.The clinical Signs were loss of hair, increase of body weight andnervous manifestation (biting, crying and excitation) in most rats in
