Abstract:
Growth promoting substances are commenly and widely used infield for increasing the body weight of farm animals and milkproduction the nature of these growth promoting substance are eithernon hormonal or hormonal.Zeranol and thyroxine are selected for our investigation as anexampels for non hormonal and hormonal growth promotingsubstance respetivelly .In this investigation 104 male albino rats were used for 2experiments.First experiment:To study the effect of zeranol in this experiment 64 rats wereused and divided into 2 groups.Group 1 : consist of 40 rats and subdivided into 8 sub groups eachconsist of 5 albinorats: surved as experimental implantedzeranol.Group 2 : consist of 24 rats subdivided into 8 subgroups, each oneconsist of 3 rats surved as control.The rats of experimental group 1 were implanted SIC with 3 mg.zeranol once at the begining of the experiment the duration of thisexperiment was 8 weeks, at the end of each week blood sampels were
