Abstract:
The present study was carried out to investigate the changes in the blood serum constituents associated with some plants producing infertility in friesian cows. A total of 60 dairy cows at 6th October farm of army forces were studied. These animals of 4 ynormally cycling attended to the clinic in follicular or luted phases ofthe oestrous cycle which was insured by rectal examination. The experimental work was divided into two experiments. Each experiment contained 30 animals. The first experiment divided intocontrol group of 10 animals feeding normal ration and tested group of20 animals feeding clover 50 kg/ head daily for 3 months, bloodsamples were taken then one animal from control group and one testedanimal were slaughtered for histophathological examination. Then the tested group was subdivided into subgroup A and subgroup B.Subgroup A of 9 animals was treated hormonally using Receptal andFolligon and subgroup B of 10 animals was fed on normal ration for6-8 weeks. The two subgroups were artificially inseminated andtaking blood sample 48 hours after artificial insemination. After 45days rectal examination was done for pregnancy diagnosis. The second experiment exactly was similar to the first one with theexception of the tested group of 20 animals feeding concentratedration (30% cotton seed meal) (12 kg/head) daily for 3 months, andthis group was subdivided into subgroup C and D.
