Some biochemical studies on the effect of some hypolipidemic drugs in Rats

This research was carried out to evaluate the hypolipidemic effect and to investigate the essential changesproduced by three lipid-lowering drugs (Gemfibrozll , Fluvastatin and Simvastotini in addition to kidney functions and transaminase activities.One hundred and eight male albino rats were divided into two main groups according to the type of diet served:FIRST GROUP: Consists of 12 rats fed on a normal diet. SECDND GROUP:(Consists of 96 rats fed on hyperlipidemic diet whichcontains cholic acid, cholesterol and thiouracil for 45 days andcontinued throughout the drug administration and divided intotwo groups.
