Abstract:
This research was carried out to evaluate the hypolipidemic effect and to investigate the essential changesproduced by three lipid-lowering drugs (Gemfibrozll , Fluvastatin and Simvastotini in addition to kidney functions and transaminase activities. One hundred and eight male albino rats were divided into two main groups according to the type of diet served:FIRST GROUP: Consists of 12 rats fed on a normal diet. SECDND GROUP:(Consists of 96 rats fed on hyperlipidemic diet whichcontains cholic acid, cholesterol and thiouracil for 45 days andcontinued throughout the drug administration and divided intotwo groups. Group (A)This group consists of 24 rats and received normalsaline and used as control which divided into two subgroups:Subgroup (AJ) : Consists of 12 rats and administrated saline for 30 days.Subgroup (A 2) : Consists of 12 rats and ’administrated saline for 45 days..Group (B)Jdded--intoihTeesnbgrollJ1s according to the type of drug.Subgroup a ): This subgroup consists of 24 rats and administrated one dose daily from Gem£ibrozil by stomach tube according tothe therapeutic dose and divided into :Subgroup (la): Consists of 12 rats and administrated the drug for 30days Subgroup (J b):
