Abstract:
The results obtained could be summarized as follows:1• The effect of apramycin and cefoperazone administration on blooderythrocytes in rats revealed significant decrease in RBCs countduring the first, second and third weeks2• The haemoglobin concentration in blood of rats showed a significantdecrease during the 1st and 2nd weeks after administration of apramycin, and during 1st, 2nd and 3 rd weeks after cefoperazone a dministration.3• The packed cell volume (PCV%) showed a significat increase duringthe first week only afteradministration of apramycin. whereas showed highly significant increase ofter 2nd week from administration.4• The leucocytic count showed asignificant decrease during 2nd and 3rd weeks after administration of apramycin, Althoug the significantdecrease was observed during the 3rd week only after administrationof cefoperazone.5• The erythrocytic glucose - 6 - phosphate dehydrogenase showed asignificant decrease during the second and third weeks after administration of both drugs. utilizatio Our results revealed that recorpnended’ or double doses ofavoparcm significantly increased live body weight, body weight gain andefficiency of feed utilization as compared with the control. There was nosignificant difference in the effects between recommended] or doubletherapeutic doses of avoparcin. The recommended doses of maduramicinsignificantly increased the live body weight, body gain and efficiency offeed utilization as compared with the control. whereas, the effect of
