Enzymatic Profile of Some Rat Hepatic Enzymes Under Different Circumstances

Abstract:
The 176 rats (half of then male and the other female) with body weigh 120 ± 10 have been used in this research.Sixty four of them subjected for starvation for one day, 3 days and 5days starvation (each group was 16 animals) 8 male & 8 female maddition. The control group.The other rats divided in to two equal groups, the first group subdivided into 3 and administered cortisol(Hydrocortisone sodium succinate, up john, Belgium, 50 mg/kg B.wt. every day) for 1 day, one week and 2 weeks.Another 3 subgroups obtain insulin sic in daily dose of 0.2 U/kg. B .. wt. for 1 day, one week and 2 weeks.The sampling followed 24 hrs after the last application.The study included LDH, CK, SDH and NDPH-cytochrome c reductase activities in the hepatic tissues after application of the above mentioned treatments.The obtained results showed that:I. Liver weight:- The weight of liver showed significant decrease in male and femalerats starved for 3 and 5 days and not significantly decreased in rats starved for 24 hrs.
