Studies On Pseudomonas Species Isolated from Farm Animals

Abstract:
The present investigation was carriedout on 777 samples randomly collectedfrom diseased chicken, ducks, rabbits,cattles, buffaloes, sheep and goat,horses and donkeys bred in bothprivate and governmental farms distributed in different districtsof Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate.Such samples were _”subjected to the bacteriological examination in trial to explore the possible existence of Ps. aeruqinosa.The obtained resulte revealed thatthe total infectivity rate of PS.aerquinq_~~ was 12.851. as 100 strains were secured from such 777 samples. Forchicken, the recovery rate ofPS. aeruqinosa was 19.51. as 24 istrains were isolated from 123 samples.For ducks, the incidence percentagewas, 10.521. as 4 strains were secured from 38 samples.For rabbits, theinfectivity rate was 101.,as 4 strains were secured from 40samples, For cattles, the incidence percentage wsa 12.711.as 23 strains were secured from 181samples. For buffaloes, infectivity rate was 15.831. as 19 strains were secured from 120 examined animals.For sheep and goats, the recoveryrate was 9.091. as 12 strains were obtained from 132 animals. Forequines ” the infectivity rate with Ps. aeruqinosawas 9.231. and 10.261. as 6 and 8 strains were secured from 65horses and 78 dankeys, respectively.
