Abstract:
One hundred albino rats were used in. this work.Fifty-five rats were given various oral doses of tamaron (2.5 - )0 mg./Kg. B.W.) for different periods up to 90days. Fifteen rats were sprayed with 100 ml. of 0.16% aquous solution of tamaron every 5 days for various per-iods. Thirty rats were used as a controlThe detectable symptoms in the intoxicated rats wi th tamaron were nervous signs as tremors of the headand neck, paraplegia, frequent defection and urination, sweating, miosis and other signs as emaciation,. depress- ion, loss of weight and dyspneaMacrosoopically, congestion and haemorrhages were seen. in lungs, kidneys, li veX’, spleen, heart,stomach, intestine and brain in addi tion to cystic dilatation of the bronchi. Both th~ liver and spleenwere generally enLarged. The spleen was frequant1y of darkish - brown colouration.
