Studies on the helminth parasites of poultry in sharkia governerate

Abstract:
In a systemic survey of 261 fowls taken from 5 centers it Sharkia Governerate, the incidence of parasitism was 84.3%. The detected helminthes were: Ascaridia gallsi 75.9%, Hete}’.§.kil!,gc§JJ:!:.!l.§’~ 1.9%, Capillaria obsignata 30.7%, Raill:f.etina ktr.~was clear that Ascaridia galli was the most prevalent helminthes in that governerate. Seasonal incidence showed that all the fowls examiaedin November were found to be infested tlOO%~ while in April it was the lowest incidence (70%). The infestationwith Ascaridia galli was highest in November being (90%) and lowest in march (60%). Heterakis gallinae waspresent in three months only (June, July & November), they were abunient in November (10%). Capillaria cbsignata-revealed its maximum infestation in September (53.8%)and lowest in April (15%) •. The incidence of infestationwith Raillietina tetragona was h~eist in September
