Abstract:
Baoteriologieal examination of one hundered Tila21a nilatioa fish from Manzalah Fish Farm during the periodbetween Deoember 1976 and December 1977 was conducted with the aim to know the normal bacterial flora of the digestivetract of this type of fish.787 pure bacterial cultures were isolated endidentified into species of the genera Aeramonas, Plasiomonas, Alkaligenes, Edwarsiella, Providanoe, Microoocous,Pseudomonas, Proteus, Enterobactert stophylococcqs) Escherchia, Citrerobacter and Bacillus.Aeromonas hyDROPhila, Plesiomonas shigelleides, Alkaligenes faecalis cemposed the predommnant bacterialflora of the digestive traot of Tilapia nilatioafish and were isolated from all parts of the alimentary traot.In the mean time Pseudomonas species, Enterebacter ha£inae and Micrococcus species were isolated mainlyfrom the anterior part. On the other hand Alkaligenes ~oecalis, Edwardsiella tarda, Enterobacter 8erogenes andEnterqbaoter eloacae were concentrated in the middle part, the posterior part had no specifio becterial inhabitant.
