Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate some phacmaco dynamd.c properties, toxicity. haematological and biochemical effeots of two widely used trypanocidal drugs ,namely Diminazine and Suramin.Exper~ent8 perfor.mmd on the intestinal smooth muscles revealed a stimulant effect of Diminazine on the intestinalmotility of rabbit duodenum and guinea pig ileum. Large doses induced a stimulation followed by inhibition. Trials carried out to determine the site of action proved it to be directlyon the intestinal musculature.Suramin, was found to inhibit the. intestina.l motili.tyin. rabbit duodenum depending upon the doses us~d.
