Abstract:
A total number of 80 native breed sheep, 2-5 years age and of bothsexes were included in this investigation.The study was designed to include both field and experimentalstudy.Field study:Included 60 sheep that, were divided into two groups.Group I: included 30 sheep proved to be clinically healthy by bothclinical and laboratory methods of examination and served as a control.Group 11: included 30 outpatient brought to Veterinary Clinic withhistory of indigestion of varying degree of severity from the history andresults obtained, these patients fall into the following categories:A- Fifteen sheep suffering from primary indigestion and having the mildform of the disease.B- Ten sheep suffering from. acid indigestion, having rumen pH5.24+0.23.C- Five sheep were diagnosed to be having rumen alkalosis and havingruininal pH 8.6+0.62.Cliniclal examination of all animals under this study was carriedout. Ruminal fluid (by means of stomach tube) as well as urine sample
