Abstract:
This study was conducted in order to understand the interrelationship of various body constituents, blood constituents and enzymes when two fish species, namely the Nile tilapia COreochromisniloticus2 and Catfish, CClarias lazera2are fed on diets containiTwo fish species were used in this study, Nile tilapia COreochromisniloticus2and Catfish CClariaslazera). Group A; A total of 60 Nile tilapiafingerlings, divided into 4 equal groups (15 Fish for each). Each group fed specific diet varied mainly in carbohydrate source. Group B: Another 44 of Catfish fingerlings, divided also into 4 equal groups (11 Fish for each), and also fed on the same diffesource as preVIOUS.Four isocaloric diets containing 4 different types of carbohydratesource with the same level 28% of each. Diet No. 1 contan wheat bran fine asa source of carbohydrate and the groups fed on these diet served as controlgroups. Diet No. 2 contains starch as a source of carbohydrate. Diet No. 3contains sucrose as a source of carbohydrate and diet no.4 contains glucose as a source of carbohydrate and all groups puted on similar conditions for 16 weeks.
