Abstract:
50 dogs suffered from otitis externa which did not respond to antibiotics treatment were subjected to both clinical and mycolo g ica linvestigation in a tria I to detect the possible mycotic causative agents.30 dogs with normal ears were also mycologically examined to idel1t’d’y the normal mycoflora present in these ears.Tile obtained data revealed that the isolated fungi from 50 dog earswith otomycosis were 40 Pitvrosporum canis (66.66%), 2 Rhodotorula species (LD%), 10 Penicillium species ( 16.66%),2 Aspcrgitlusfumigatus(3.33%), 2 A spergillus flavus (3.33%), 1 Aspergillus niger (1.66%), 2i\ lrc rnuria species 0.33%) and 1 Cladosporium species (1.66%).
