Abstract:
In vitro antibacterial effectAntibacterial effects of colistin (10 ug) flumequine (30 ug) and their combination were studied in vitro using disc diffusion method against S. pullorum and E. coli. The degree of sensitivity was determined by measuring the diameter of the inhibition zonechloramphenicol, erythromycin and streptomycin was also determinedk’lcompare the efficacy of the tested drugs with the other antibiotics.Flumequine was the most powerful antimicrobial agent againstcoli (24 mm) where as chloramphenicol (22mm) was the most ective drug against S. pullorum followed by flumequine (21.7mm) . list in was less potent than flumequine against S. pullorum (11 mm)The combination of colistin flumequine proved to be the mostent antibacterial against S. pullorum (24 mm) and E. coli (26 mm) .vivo antibacterial effects :Colistin flumequine combination was studied against S. pullorumE. coli in vaccinated chicks with New castle and Gomborocines. The combination was tested against infected and non
