Abstract:
Some factors affecting hatchability percent of p e k i n .duck eggs during storage and incubation as well as effectof storage duration on ducklings performance were studied.Some behavioural patterns of ducklings and their inter-relationship with performance were also observed. Theobtained data revealed that:1- The highest hatchability and lowest total embryosmortality percent were obtained in small end up storagepo sit i on (5 5 and 3 5 %), w h i 1 e in 1 a r g end up ( 51 and 40% )and in horizontal position were 45 and 45% repsectively.2- The highest hatchability percent and lowest totalembryos mortality percent were obtianed t n case of notstored pekin duck eggs (75 and 10%), while these were 60and 30% (storage for 7 days), 50 and 40% in storage for
