Abstract:
The use of complement fixation test for rapid idendification ofinfectious bursal disease virus in both infected bursae of Fabricii indiseased chickens and .chorioallantoic.. membranes of infectedchicken embryos was more accurate and sensitive than agar-gelprecipitation test.Infectious bursal disease vaccines used in this studyshowed significant bursal atrophy 24 days after vaccination. Thedecrease in bursal weight was more significant especially aftervaccination at 10 and 15 days of age.Maternal antibodies against infectious bursal disease in babychicks were tested at one, 10, 15 and 21 days of age, it,spercentage were 71.1%, 53.3%, ~6.7% and 13.3% respectively. On the other hand the precipitating antibodies after vaccinationwith IBDV vaccines at 15th and 21st of age were higher than .. vaccination on the 10th day of ageQuantitation of precipitating antibodies 21 days aftervaccination’ showed that a high titer was obtained after eyeDROP vaccination than after oral and nasal methods especiallyvaccination’ after vaccination at 21st day of age.
