Abstract:
This work was designed to study the effect of dietary protein levels dietary , regime systems and supplementationdiet wi th methionine on growth performance of J.qua i 1. Therefore three connected experim ents were carried out.Experiment I:This experiment was conducted to study the effect offeeding different levels of dietary protein on growthperformance (body weight; body g a i n ; feed conversion ratioand protein efficiency ratio),and carcass yieldsof growing• Japanese quail.:Forty hundredandfive quail chicks (one day old) were divided into five equaltriplicate groups, The quail groups were fed on fiveisoca10ric diets (2850 Kca1 ME/kg) contained differentlevels of crude protein (20; 22; 24; 26 or 28%) throughoutthe whole experimental period (6 weeks). Body weight; bodygain; feed intake; feed conversion ratio; protein intake andprotein efficiency ratio were determined weekly. At the endof the experiment, 6 birds from each group were slaughteredfor determination of the carcass yield of Coturnix coturnixjapon i c a .Results of this experiment can be summaried intofollowing:
