some toxicological studies of some drugs used in treatment of infertility

Summary :-Fifty male and female rabbits were utillzed for this study.Animals were obtained from Zagazig market. Their age wereranged between 6-8 months and weighed between 1.5 - 2 Kilo-grams •The animals were divided into five groups each containten animals :~Groun (1) composed of ten male rabbits injected L/Mdaily with 0.1 ml olive oil for a period pf 2 weeks.Group (2) composed of ten male rabbits injected IIM withlmgStilbesterol for a neriod of 2 weeks. The rabbits were fur-ther treated orally with 1.25 mg Parlodel for 2 weeks.Groun (J) composed of ten female rabbits injected witholive oil ( 0.1 ml ) daily I/M for a period of 2 weeks andserved as control.Grouu (4) The ten rabbits were inject~d IIM with 1 mgof Stilbesterol for a neriod of 2 weeks t this group wasfurther treated with Parlodel.Groun (5) Ten female rabbits were intraneritoneal injecteddaily with 300 iu of Prolactin for a period of 2 weeks.Serum samules were analysed for hormone levels usingR.I.A. method and biochemical.par~~eters in this study weredetermined using kits.
