Abstract:
Immune response of Armout catfish was tested against three types of antigens, two of them were cellular antigens viz: Aeromonas hyDROPhila and sheep red blood cells while the other one was soluble antigen Horse serum. The infective dose (LD50) for A.hyDROPinoculated fish from the first week to reach its maximum concentration at the end of the fourth week. The degree of protection in the previously immunizedArmout catfish was determined by challenge test using virulent hyDROPhila strain and proved that the all immunized catfish did not succumbed the disease ensuring that they were protected against challenge with such virulent strain. The precipitating antibtested fish group which immunized with Horse serum except one fish at the end of the third week which appeared weakprecipitating band.
