Abstract:
A total of (210) buffalo and cow calves of different ages from one day old up to 6 months) were used in this study.ndred and fifty five calves (103 cow calves and 52 buffalo ~ves) showed symptoms of diarrhea and the remaining (55) ~ves (31 cow calves and 24 buffalo calves) were clinicallyrmal. The results obtained from the bacteriological andrasitological investigations revealed that: Dietetic erros in young calves plays most important rolein evoking enteritis.While bacte~ial agents such as Escherichia coli, Proteusspecies, Klebsiella species and Pseudomonas species ,were isola-tedfrom diarrhoeic calvesAmong the bacteria isolated Eschericiacoli was the most promenant organisms isolated from casesof enteritis in newborn calves under one month old, especiallyin those aging from 5-15 days old.~garding parasitic causes, it appeared that coccidiosis duedifferent species of genus Eimeria, was serious cause
