Abstract:
Five broiler farms in Sharkia governorate wereexamined to study the effect of microclimatic conditionson microbial pollution, occurrence of disease agents, broiler performance and uses of various forms of forma-ldehyde gas in sanitation of broiler houses.I) Microclimatic conditions in broiler houses:1.There was an irriversable relationship between ageof broilers and relative humidity, ammonia and.carbon dioxide.2.The microhial contamination inside broiler housesreached the maximum at the 4th and 5th weeks of age.The highest viable count was (3260), (3040), (2100)and (1200) in winter, summer, autumn and springrespectively.3.There was seasonal variation in the number of airmicrobe-carrying particles inside broiler housesas it was highest in winter and lowest in spring.4.Highest temperature was recorded in summer (29.8°C+0.8), spring (26.6°C+ 0.8), autumn (26°C+l.l) andwinter (24°C+l.l). 5. Highest relative humidity percent was recorded in
