Abstract:
The present investigations were carried out to throw the light on the importance of internal and external parasites that infect deer in Giza zoo, Alexandria zoo, El- Mansora zoo, Tantazoo and private collection ( Gezert Seod , Sharkia governorate ) .Therefore the study was carried out to survey the internal and external parasites as well as trials of treatment. Out of 270 deer surveyed from different zoos and privatecollection (119) deer had internal parasites in percentage of 44.07% during one year from January to December 1996 , were carried out.These investigations revealed that the infestation rate among Giza zoo garden was 44.16 % ( 3.55 % Trematodes , 32.49% Nematodes and 9.14 % Protozoa) . The highest infestation rate during Winter season. The infection percentage among Alexandria zoo garden was 43.75 % ( 6.25 % Trematodes , 37.5 % Nematodes and 6.25 % Protozoa) .
