Abstract:
~the aim of the present s.tudy is to find out thedifferent surgioalat.tQ.t1~ causing lameness in the oamel- 299 lame animals were met with.trends for controlmethods were practised, thorough examination waecarried out and the sYmptoms and diagnosis fereach affection were desc~ibed.- Different affections were enoountered most of whichare similar to that within equines or ,ovines.- In the forelimb, shoulder slip, shoulder myositisshoulder phlegmon, capped elbow, paralysis of themuscle extensor carpi radialiS, acuta carpitiS andpericarpitis, carpal tumours, septic wounds,tenosynovitis and dislocation of the fetlock wereencountered to cause variable degrees of lameness.- In the hind limb, fracture ilium, perforating woundsat the thigh, upward fixation of the patella,phlegmon at the gaskin, bog spavin and sprainedfetlook were met with as affections causing lameness.
