Abstract:
Skin scropings were obtained fram 313 buffaloes showedthe presence of mite parasites which were identified asPsoroptes natalensis according to Hirst (1922) & Sweatman(1958) which characterized by the outer and inner opistho-somal setae on the ends of the opisthosomal lobes werespatulate and equal in length.The develOPmental stages of Psoroptes natalensis weredescribed in details and revealed that the those stagesincluded the eggs, larvae, prot o nymphs , deutonymphs, adultmales and adult females. The egg and larva showed no sexualdimorphism, but the sex of the remaining. stages was ascert-ainable ; where it was possible to dif£erentiate betweenboth male and female proto & deuto-nymphs by presence ofcopulatory tubercles postero-dorsally.
