Abstract:
The following 522 samples ,250 healthy cattle, 38 diseased cattle, 205 healthy buffaloes and 29 di.— eased buffaloes from the respiratory tract of bovine were examined bacteriologically for isolation of pasteureila OrgaflisfilO 3 types of media. IsolationcataiasePO8itire and non motile at 37°C in an incidence of 12.26%. The most isolates were recovered from the lung samples (22 isolates) in an incidence of 14.85% ,followed by 18 isolates from laryngeo— pharyngeal swabs (13.53%), 20 from nasal swabs (11.36Biochemical differentiation of 64 pasteurella isolates revealed the identification of 24 P.multocida isolates and 4o isolates ofP.haemolytica, according to their haemolysis of blood, growth on NacConkey, fermentation of glucose indole production and urea hydrolysis.
