Abstract:
The present work performed on 195 Albino rat 100- 150 gm bodyweight, for studying the effect of route of administration, dose and duration of BCG vaccination. The different groups of experiment were collectively 13 groups, each contain 15 animal, together with negati ve control group. Each group was divided to threreceived 1 mg BCG/rat orally, the 2nd group received 2 mg BCG/ ratorally, the 3rd group received 3 mg BCG orally, the 4th group injectedwith I mg BCG/ rat 1.0. the 5th group injected with 2 mg BCG / rat LD,the 6th group injected with 3 mg BCG/ rat I.D the 7th group injected withI mg BCG/ rat LP , the 8 th group injected with 2 mg BCGlrat LP, the9th group injected with 3 mg BCG/rat LP, the 10th group injected with Img BCGlrat I. V, the list group injected with 2 mg BCGlrat I. V, the 12nd group injected with 3 BCGlrat 1. V while the last group is negative controlAn imals injected with BCG were showed signs of immunestimulation. Leukogram findings revealed increase in totalleukocytic count in almost all group - This reaction was most pronounced by the l.P route and least pronounced by the oral route . The absolute numbers of thedifferent leukocytic cells revealed significant increase in lymphocytes,monocytes and neutrophils while the eosinophils showed signi ficant
