Clinicopathological Studies on Some Veterinary used Tranquilizers

Abstract:
Tranquilizers are drugs usually cause sedation without cause drowsiness, they are widly used in veterinary practice as preanaesthetics and used in human being as antiemetic andanticonvulsant . The use of such kind of drugs has become widly spread only sinrepresenting phenothiazine derivatives and xylazine hydrochloriderepresenting neuroleptics . In the present work we studied the effect of either two drug on clinicobiochemical, haematological and histopathological effect on liver, kidney, heart and spleenxylazine hydrochloride at a dose of 0.05 mg / Animal injected intra peritoneally for 1 , 2, 3 , 7, 14 , 2 1 and 28 days, the remainder 35 animals were left as control The same was done- with the second group which was treatedwith chlorpromazine hydrochlorid injected intra peritoneally ata dose of 10 mg / kg .
