Clinicopathological studies on the aquazyme product in coccidial chickens

Abstract:
One hundred and seventy five broiler chicks were used in two experiments. The first experiment consists of 25 broiler chicks were infected with Eimeria tenella oocysts to propagate the oocysts which used in secondexperiment. Second experiment included 150 broiler chicks which dividedinto five groups, each group consists of 30 chicks. The first group sprayed with aquazyme only at one, 15, 30 and 35 days old chickens. The second group infected only with Eimeria tenella oocystsat 15 day old chickens. The third group sprayed with aquazymfourth group infected with Eimeria tenella oocysts at 15 day old and sprayed with aquazyme at 21, 30 and 35 days old. the five group which consists of 30 chickens and used as control.In the first group, the haematological picture did not show significantchanges at 15, 30 and 45 days old chickens in comparison with the controlvalues. The clinicobiochemical results of this group (I) showed significantincrease in the serum uric acid level and significant decrease in the serumcalcium level at 45 day old chickens in comparison with the control values.the histopathological changes were revealed congestion, haemorrhage,lymphocytic infiltration, oedema and focal areas of necrosis in the liver.HyDROPic degeneration, oedema, haemorrhage, dilatation of glomerularspace and necrosis in the kidney while, vacuolization in the lining epitheliumand necrosis of mucosa in the intestine and caecum were also seen.
