Pathological Studies on Testicular Affections In Camels In Correlation With Its Causes

Abstract:
The present study was carried out on 60 genital organs (Testes, epididymis, spermatic cord) camels aged 8-25 years out of inspecting 1500 sloughtered camels.These organs were collected from different slaughter houses of Zagazig, Belbis and Cairo provinces. All organs(Testes, epididymis, spermatic cord) were subjected to parasitologicalexamination, bacteriological examination and histopathologicalexamination.Histopathological examination: The collected samples from the testes,epididymis and spermatic cord were fixed Immediatly in 10% neutralformalin solution and prepared for histopathological examination.- About 10 (0.67%) cases of filaria were found in the present study.The gross apperances of the testes were thickening of both tunicaevagina lis and albugenia, testes hard, greyish white, arteries thickened,dilated with filaria.The microscopical studies revelaed tunica albugenia fibrosed, thickenedarteryseminiferous tubules, focal aggregation of round cells, eosinophilsinfiltration, increase in interstitial tissue, haemorrhage, fibrous tissueproliferation and granuloma.
