Abstract:
This work was carried out on a total number of 190 Friesian calves, from which 140 animals showed-the clinical symptoms of respiratory troubles, while 50 calves were apparently normal and served as con-trols. The calves were belonging to two Private Farms including Cooperative Committee Farm at Abu-Rammad and Abu-Gabr Sons Farm at EI-1brahimia, Sharikaprovince. The following broad items were included in thisstudy: 1- Observation of the clinical findings of diseasedcalves suffering from respiratory troubles. 11- Bacteriological examination of nasal swabs ofboth apparently normal and diseased calves before and after treatment. Moreover, the sensitivity test of the isolates against variousantibacterial discs was also carried out (pentrexyl, cosumix plus, penicillin G sodium,streptopincid, streptomycin, terramycin L.A., Kanamycin and chloramphenicol.111- The blood picture (RECs, mBCs, Rb & PCV) was conducted on blood samples of apparently normalas well as diseased calves before and after treatment.
