Abstract:
Food play an important role in the animal production. And plant estrogen:is considered one of the main consti- uents of it.It is proved more recently that plant estrogen has a greet effect on animal fertility, So, this experimentshave been made in order to study some physiologicaleffects of B-sitosterol on hormonal level of the adult male rats.Barseem were collected from Sharkeia Pastures during the flowering state then dryed and used for analysis ofphytoestrogens by GLC for the guantitative determination of B-sitosterol.In this study 300 adult mautre male albino rats were used, divided into 2 parts (each of 150 animals) 1st.part divided into 5 equal groups.The 1st group used as control injected with 0.1 ml olive oil and the other 4 groups injected with 50, lOO,250, 350 I1g B-sitosterol /0.1 ml olive oil}, daily for 4 weeks.2nd part: divided into 5 equal groups. The 1st group used as control recived 0.1 ml olive oil, using stomach
