Abstract:
I • EiGhteen heads of adult one-humped camels (camelus dz-orae da af.us ) of which 5 were with complete neckswere used,1n o.ddiol1 to 8 faetus and two o.dlfiLt ca.melAll specimens showed no deformities.,2 • The specimens were injected via the V.dorsa.lis nasi after washing c Leo.r with warm s<.:.llinesolution toavoid ill1y obstruction produced by the presence of valves.3 • The injection mass was 60% gum milk (Latex) colored \ wi tr: ul traillo.rine blue. The specimens were preserved for one week in 10% formc.lin, 2%, phenol & 3lycerinbefore being dissected.4 • Cc.refull dissection of the veins in the heo.d and neck was c£1rried out in all specimens used and onboth sides.5 • The origin, course arid distribution of the veins in the had and neck regions were recorded and illustr-ated in I3 diagrams.6 • The results were discussed with other availableliteratures on domestic Gnimo.ls and with special / attention to those on the camel.7 • The latest nomenclsture of the veins were used •
