Abstract:
To investigate the possible pathological effects of some commonly used antibiotics, 138, Balady chiokensof about two months age were divided into two major groups and control. The birds in group I were subdi-vided into 4 subgroups. They were given terramycin in the dr inking water. Birds in subgroup 1 were giventerramycinin therapeu’cic dose for 7, 14. 28, 56 and 112 days, Chickens in ill bgroups 2,3 and 4 were given doUble, triple and quadripletherapeutic doses of teramycin respectively for 7 days Than the birds were sacrificed arrl necropsied afterthesepredete-The birds in group 1I were also subdivided into 4- subgroups, which were given gallimyc in in the drinkingwater Ga1limycin was given in therappeutic dos~s for the chickens in subgroup 1 for, 3, 6, 12, 24, 48, and96 days. Double, triple and quadriple therapeutio doses of gallimycin were given to subgroups~ 2, 3 and 4 resp6~tively for 3 days~ Saorification of the birds and postmorten examination were performed after the predetermined periods~The birds in both group
