Phytochemical and pharmacological studies on sinapis arvensis l. plant (el-kabar)

The present work was undertaken to investigate the most important active principles in Sinapis arvensis L. plant. Moreover,to study the toxicological and pharmacolo- gical effects of the alcoholic extracts of the growing and flowering plant.Phytochemical screening carried out on the growing and flowering plant revealed that they contain volatile compounds,flavonoids,glycosides,sterols and/or triterpenes, tannins and resins. They are free from alkaloids and saponins The alcoholic extracts of aphic technique.
