Abstract:
The present investigation was designed to study the normal level of some serum enzymes such as alkaline phospha-tase, acid phosphatase, glutamic oxalacetic transaminase (GOT), glutamic pyruvic transaminase (GPT) and lactic dehy-drogenase (LDH) and some electrolytes as sodium, potaltLum ! I calcium and inorganic phosphorus in Habbard chicks, nnd the effect of vaccination with Newcastle vaccines for a periodof six weeks to clarify if there is any harm inflected uponthe heart or liver. Twn hundred and fifty Hubbard chicks one day old wereobtai ned from general poul try company at Egypt. rrhe chicks were divided into two groups. The first, group consists ofone hundred cl~cks and was considered as a control; the other group constitutes one hundred and fifty chicks Vaccination against Newcasblood collection. Serum samples were stored at 4co until used. The enzyme determination was done withln 24 hours.The data obtained from this study revealed that serum alkaline phosphatase in normal chicks is high in first by age till it reached itslowest level at six weeks of age.
