Abstract:
The present study included two experiments.the first experiment was planned to determine the levels of alpha aa-ylase, lipase and leucine aminopeptidase enzymes in the se-rum and uterine wash of albino rats during the different phases of the estrous cycle •For this purpose Seventy female albino rats were divi-ded into seven groups representing seven stages of the cyc-le. In addition 10 immature female rats were used. The serum and uterine wash were collected for analysis for determina-tion of amylase activity by the method of smith and Roe( 1949 and 1957 ), lipase also determined using the methodof Zakariya; and Bishop (1971) and LAP activity wasdetermined by the method of N&gel, Willing and Schmidt,(1964). The results of this study revealed that :-1- Amylase activities in the serum and uterane wash showed cyclic variation9 its activity ( 1.u / 100 ml. ) in theuterine wash reach the peak value during metestrus (191.26± 29.37 ) then decreased gradually till it dissapeared at late estrus. The activity of serum amylase was high atearly estrus ( 524.6 ± 28.41 ) then decreased during met- •• t~’~o late diestrus (437.5 + 10.36 and 359.99 + 10.41) -then begin to increase again at early and late proestrus
