Abstract:
1- Work was oonducted on the wnputated neck and heads of thirtynormal adult buffalo G2- The blood vessels of these materials were inj ected with threeinjection masses; namely, gum milk latex, cast material andI’ad.io-op~que mass; preperatory to dissection, cast formationAnd r~d1ography • Ordinary routine methods for fixation and-preservation B well aa for cast formation were also adapted.3- The nominolature used was that recomended by the Nomina Anatomioa Veterinaria - N.A.V. - (1973) and its annex (1975).4- Dissection has revealed that, the arterial blood of the brain ot the buffalo is, mainly, derived from the internal carotid, maxillary, occipital and vertebral arteries • Branches fromthese! ve s ae La contribute to the formation of a rostral and acaudal ep:i.dural rete mirabile over which the arterial blood passes to the brain • On the other hand, the meninges of the brain 1~eoeive8 its arterial blood supply through branches derived from the oQcipital and maxillary arteries, in addition to that of5- The venous blood of the brain and its meninges is drained by the va.riou,8 cranial veins, which drain the blood into the venous inuBeB of the dura mater • The latter are arranged into
