Studies on Some Pancreatic Function Tests Correlated By Morphophathological Changes in sheeb

The pancreas plays an important role,in hydrolysis most dietary products. The acinar cells of the pancreas synthesize several enzymes for each class of deitary products. There vvas an opinion that the enzymatic composition of pancreatic juice may adopted Diseases of the pancreas are usually accompanied vith elevation of serum amylase and lipase in monogastric animsis and in man. The importance of these enzymes in ruminants, however, is a matter of contraversy due to the knowledge that they are not eagerlyIt was intersting in the present investigation to study the pethornorphologicel changes of..the pancreas in apparently normal sheep and to correlate such changes ith activities of serum amylase and lipase and serum calcium.The materials used for the present investigetion verecollected from 56 sheep slaughtered at Giza and Heliopolis abattoirs.
