Abstract:
Fifty egyptian buffalo calves were chosen from ages between one and five months old. The animals were divided into 5 groups, each of which comprises10 calves of the same age. 3)Blood samples were taken fromthecorresponding animals from which sera were obtained. The activity of alkaline phosphatase was determined on each of the serum sample in ways ;- Without ro~ metal ions to serve as control After addition of different concentrations of zinc, mamnesiummercury, barium, cobalt and arsenic.~) The gained results were statistically analysed and.~representedin 28 tables and 7 figures. In control samples the measured ativity of ALP was found to be 37~2 m~u/ml at one month age and reached 92.15 m.u/ml at five months age. The addition of Mgc12 at concentration of 10-3 M to the serum increased significantly the enzyme activity at nearly al(1, 3, 4 and -5 months). There was a gradual increase in the activity of the enzyme with increase of znS04 concentration • This increment was
