Abstract:
1) The incidence of salmonella arizonae infection in eggs collected from hatchery in Gharbia and Kafr-El-8heikhProvinces was found to 0.832%.a) salmonella arizonae isolated were highly sensitive to chloromycetin and neomycin.3) salmonella arizonae was highlY pathOgeniC to babY chicks and duckling infected at day old with mortality rateof 12-20% and 16% respectivelY.11-) salmonella arizonrJ.e was found to be transmitted vertically from infected carriers birdS (chickens and dUcks)to the offsprin.ga through the eggs•5) Infected chickens and dUcks were able to shed the organism in their DROPpings up to 11-7 days and 3B days. reS-pectivelY after infection.6) Salmonella arizons,e remained viable in infected dead chicken and ducks carc3SSes up to aO days and 10 daysrespectiVelY at different temperatureo
