Some Studies on The Helminth Parasites of Fishs from The Red Sea

Abstract:
Eleven species belonging to nine families of Red Sea fishes have been investigated for entric heLminth infestations. The present study revealed that fishes appeared to the natural hosts to fourteen species of worms which had been calrifiedas eight trematodes, larval cestodes , three nematodes and one acanthocephala. ( Table 21) The detected trematodes included :- 1- Bucephalu~ polymorphus : from Morone labrax in the meanrate of (7%)m.th maximum infestation at Februmry and July. 2- ErileIt_urus ~fricanus: from Rastrelleger Kanagurtaand carana~..!!.p. with a mean rate (8.1)n 3- Genolopa longovatuma mean rate of (2.1%) from Mulloidicthys auriflammawith4- Gyl i.auchen volubilis from Aca.nthurus.Jurida and withmean rate of infestation (4%)5- Hysterolecitha nahaensis~ from lutianus fulviflromaa and Acanhurus lurida, mean rate was (2%) with maximum at february also. 6- Metacena leilae : from Lutianus fulviflamma with amean rate of (7.1%) at March.
