Abstract:
Fifty two trials for laparotomy in sheep and goats were carried out on twenty five animals. The operationwas indicated either for the treatment or experimentally for variable surgical operations on some internal organs.The topographical anatomy of the abdominal region 8.8 well as the anatomical relations of the internal organs we re studied and hence, the predilection site for eachoperation was determined.Both flanks were preferred for laparotomy incision,whereas the median, paramedian and inguinal incisions werenot recommended. Rumenotomy, ruminal cannulation, splencctomy,ovariec-tomy, caesarean section End intestinal resection and ane.stomosis were aseptically carried out with great success ~d without complications.All operations were performed under the effect of ~mplli~ (Bayer) 2% solution together with local infiltrationanaesthesia of a 2% Novocain which proved to be efficient.It had been found that most of the operations were
