Abstract:
’l’he current .o rk involves ’Some studie s on se rum enzymes on buf’f’e Lo foeti and the pregnant well as the histochemical (alkaline and acid phosph- atase) studies on the liver and spleen of the buffalo foeti and pregnant mothers.The present investigation revealed the following results ,The mean valueD of serum alkaline phosphatase enzyme in buffalo foeti were significantly incre- ased by advancing age of the foeti, however itdeclines in the last month. The average of serumalkaline phosphatase enz~~e in pregnant buffaloes were highly significant in the third trimesterof pregnancy t uan the previous one. ’rhe serum la a~lne pnospl18vase was non slgnlllcan yhigher ln buffalo foeti than their dams at the second and third trimester of pregnancy.The histochemical studies of the alkaline phosph- atase enzyme on livers of buffalo foeti showed that there were slight to moedrate reactivity ofthe enzyme in uepa t i,c cells up to J months age However the reactivity of the hepatic cells and
