Abstract:
Out of 792 throat and rectal swabs (396 from each)collected from living dogs eitherapparently healthy or suffered from gastro-intestinal disturbances, 533swabs (67.3 %) were positive for Enterobacteriaceae, with the isolation of 879 isolates (164.91 %). Twlllle such incidence was higher in puppies than some of the adult dogs. The recovery rate in diseased dogs suffered from intestinal disorders was lower (97.02 %) in correlation to the apparently healthy dogs (121.27 %). - Four hundred and sixty two sampl
